The same simple, chunky potting mix I use for my own houseplants aboard our narrowboat.
Blended from peat-free compost, orchid bark and perlite, it has a looser, airier texture than ordinary compost. The bark and perlite help create space around the roots, while the compost holds the moisture and nutrients your plant needs.
It’s a lovely everyday mix for many tropical houseplants, particularly those that prefer a little more airflow around their roots.
Made with equal parts:
Peat-free compost
Orchid bark
Perlite
Each 2-litre bag is blended by hand in small batches and is ready to use straight from the pack.
Use it when repotting, refreshing tired compost or topping up pots. Water requirements can vary after repotting, so check the mix with your finger before watering rather than following a fixed schedule.
Store sealed in a cool, dry place.
